Two RDD employees injured as car plunges into gorge

BHADERWAH, Aug 6: Two employees of Rural Development Department (RDD) received injuries when the Maruti Car they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Chapnari area on Doda-Bhagwah road.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02V-5109 was on its way to Bhagwah from Doda, when the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle landed into 150 feet deep gorge near Chapnari on Doda-Bhagwah road, resulting into injuries to two RDD employees.
After getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. Both the injured persons were shifted to District Hospital (DH) Doda, where their condition was stated to be out of danger, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Shiv Charan, son of Tarlok Singh of Kotli and Pawan Singh, son of Krishan Singh of Bhagwah, district Doda.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
