UDHAMPUR, May 25: Two shops were gutted in fire at Bus Stand Chenani late last night while one SPO and a local sustained burn injuries while trying to douse the blazes.
According to the Police, the Fire and Emergency Services Department pressed into service several fire tenders and controlled the blazes from engulfing more area. However, both the shops, owned by Kartar Chand son of Padam Chand, were completely gutted in the incident.
SPO Raghunandan and a local Sham Lal received burn injuries during attempt to control the blazes. They were shifted to sub District Hospital Chenani.
The cause of fire could not be ascertained immediately and police has registered a case in this connection.
