JAMMU, Aug 18: Janipur Police worked out a snatching case with the arrest of two accused within couple of hours.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a shopkeeper namely Manav Sharma with Police Station Janipur stating that two persons visited his shop near Main Stop Janipur and after getting some items packed escaped from the spot. The video of the incident also went viral on social media.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 93/2021 under Sections 382 and 34 IPC was registered at Police Station Janipur and hunt was launched to nab the accused.
To work out the case, a team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali was constituted under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar and SP City Mohita Sharma.
The team after putting in hectic efforts and by collaborating with technical assistance and CCTV camera footage of the area finally nabbed the accused, who were identified as Gourav Bandral, a resident of Paloura District Jammu and Aryan Sharma, a resident of Akhnoor, at present Top Paloura District Jammu.
Sources said that both the accused are drug addicts, however, further investigation into the case is going on.
