Two tailors killed in fire at Army camp

BHADERWAH, Dec 23: Two civilian tailors working with Army were charred alive in a fire that broke out here in wee hours today at 10 Rashtriya Rifles camp in Arnora.
The deceased tailors were identified as Parshotam Lal, 55, son of Baju Ram, resident of village Katli in Samba and Shom Raj, 45, son of Rala Ram, resident of Chandwa in Kathua. They were running a tailor shop in Arnora Ghat Army camp.
A police official said that the fire is believed to be caused by some snag in a kerosene heater.
He further said that the fire was reported at around 2.30 am.
“The charred bodies of both the tailors were recovered from the scene and were handed over to their family members for last rites,” he maintained.
