Two theft cases solved, stolen items recovered

JAMMU, April 15: Domana police today claimed to have solved two theft cases by recovering stolen electric wires and electronic gadgets worth Rs 15,000.
“Two separate cases vide FIR number 122/2022 U/s 457/380 IPC and FIR Number 131/2022 u/s 457/380 IPC were registered at Police Station Domana regarding theft in its jurisdiction,” a police spokesman said while adding that the SDPO Domana Sunil Singh constituted a special team headed by SHO Police Station Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma to crack the theft cases.
He said Inspector Mahesh Sharma assisted by PSI Danish Qaiser Gazali and PSI Anoop Kumar did hectic efforts and with the help of CCTV footages of the area and connecting various leads, finally rounded up a suspect namely Tarun Kumar son of Jatinder Kumar, resident of Udheywala, Jammu.
“During sustained questioning, the accused confessed his involvement in case FIR Number 122/2022 and on his disclosure he revealed name of other accused namely Gunjan Kumar son of Brahm Dev, resident of Bihar (at present living in Narwal, Qasimnagar, Jammu who was also arrested u/s 411 IPC),” he said, adding, all the stolen electronic gadgets worth 12,000 were recovered from his possession.
The spokesman said another accused namely Harbans Singh son of Kashmir Singh, resident of Domana (Jammu) was rounded up and during interrogation, he confessed his involvement in the case FIR Number 131/2022 and on his disclosure, 10 kg copper electric wire was recovered from his residence.
The overall arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP Rural Sanjay Sharma. Further investigation of the case was going on.
