Two theft cases solved; stolen jewellery, cash, auto recovered

RAMBAN, Sept 3: Police here today arrested two thieves involved in two separate theft cases in Ramban town and recovered stolen gold item, cash and a vehicle (Auto) from them.
As per police on August 22, a written complaint was received at Police Station Ramban from one Hem Raj, resident of Balihote, Ramban that on August 22 some unknown persons entered his room by breaking the door lock and took away cash of Rs. 61300 and a golden Mangalsutar.
A case was registered at Police Station Ramban and during investigation, police rounded up several suspects for questioning wherein a suspect Akshit Sharma, son of Pirthi Raj Sharma, resident of Ramban town was detained and during sustained questioning he confessed that he had committed the crime.
On his disclosure, police recovered Rs. 61300 and golden Mangalsutar.
Police said he was arrested under Sections 454/380 IPC registered at Police Station Ramban.
In another incident of theft one Haider Ali, son of Habibullah, resident of Chandrog, Maitra, Ramban, lodged a written complaint at Police Station Ramban that during the intervening night of August 28 and 29, when he was at his in-laws home at Kowbagh area of Ramban, some unknown person stole his three wheeler (passenger Auto) bearing registration number JK19-2449.
During investigation, police rounded up a suspect Bashir Ahmed alias Babloo, son of Abdul Hamid, resident of Kowbagh.
After sustained questioning Bashir Ahmed confessed his involvement in the crime.
Police said on his disclosure stolen auto was recovered.
A case under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Ramban in this regard.
The entire recovery in both theft cases was affected by a police party of Police Station Ramban under the command of Inspector Nayeem Ul-Haq, SHO Police Station Ramban; Dy. SP Hqrs Ramban, Om Parkash, Addl. SP Ramban, Gourav Mahajan and under the overall supervision of SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
