Two theft cases worked out

JAMMU, July 30: Police in RS Pura and Bishnah areas claimed today that they have worked out two theft cases.
A police spokesperson said that a complaint was lodged at Police Station Bishnah by one Namesh Bral son of Ramesh Chand of Ward Number 11, House Number 33, Bishnah, stating therein that his scooty got stolen from the area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bishnah.
On this, a case FIR number 183/2023 under section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation taken up, he said.
Followed by this, he said, special police teams of Police Station Bishnah led by SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna assisted by SHO Bishnah, Inspector Vikram Sharma, arrested the accused identified as Mohit Sharma of Ward Number 12, Kachha Tallab, Bishnah.
On the disclosure of the accused, he said, the stolen scooty was recovered.
Another complaint was lodged by one Kamaljeet Singh son of Satnam Singh of Ward Number 13, Shiv Nagar, RS Pura, regarding theft of his motorcycle from the area under the jurisdiction of Police Station RS Pura.
On this, the police spokesperson said that a case FIR number 108/2023 under section 379 of the IPC was registered at RS Pura Police Station and investigation taken up.
Investigating the case, he said, special teams of Police Station RS Pura led by SDPO RS Pura, Nikhil Gogna, assisted by SHO RS Pura, Inspector Pawan Kumar arrested the accused identified as Amit Singh of Bidhipur Jattan, Tehsil Suchetgarh, Jammu.
On the disclosure of the accused, the stolen motorcycle belonging to the complainant as well as another bike was recovered, he said.
The overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP Headquarters Rajnish Gupta.
Further investigations in both the cases are underway.
