Two thieves arrested, stolen goods recovered

SAMBA, May 21: Samba police has worked out two burglary cases registered at Police Station Ramgarh and arrested two thieves besides affecting recovery of stolen readymade garments, expensive shoes, electronics goods & cash worth Rs. 9150 from their possession.
Police said on May 11 a written complainant was lodged by one person namely Happy Sharma, S/o Purshotam Lal R/o Ramloo Brahmana & by one Purshotam Lal, S/o Late Gian Chand, R/o Mahal Kalandrian at Police Station, Ramgarh that some unknown thieves intruded in their shop at Mahal Adda during the intervening night of 10/11-05-2020. The thieves damaged the shops, shutter, lock and also had stolen CCTV cameras installed in front of the shop and requested for investigation into the complaint.
On this a case FIR No. 51/2020 U/S 457/380/511 IPC stands registered at Police Station Ramgarh and a team of police officers/officials was deputed to workout the case at the earliest. The Police team conducted raids in various suspicious areas and questioned number of suspects. During the course of investigation, police zeroed in two suspects, namely Pankaj alias Panku S/o Lt. Tara Chand and Vasu alias Shanu S/o Lt. Som Dutt both R/o Sahazdpur Tehsil Ramgarh, district Samba who were subjected to thorough questioning. During questioning, the suspects broke out and confessed in commissioning of burglary and damaging of shop.
On their further examination, the apprehended persons also admitted guilty for their involvement in one such case on January 24, 2020, in which theft had taken place at the shop of one Akash Baloria S/o Surinder Singh R/o Shama Chak who is running a shop of readymade garments situated at Lower Swankha Morh and in which connection case FIR No. 07/2020 U/S 457/380/IPC also stands registered at the Police Station, Ramgarh.
On the disclosure of these apprehended persons, Police Party also recovered stolen items. Further investigations are going on.
