JAMMU, Mar 13: Nowabad Police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen vehicles from their possession.
As per police sources, complaints were lodged at Police Station Nowabad regarding theft of several vehicles including bullet motorcycle bearing registration number JK02U 8804 and motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AP-4627.
Acting over the complaints, a case under FIR Number 20/2020 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a special team led by SHO Nowabad Inspector Deepak Jasrotia and assisted by Incharge Police Post Talab Tillo Kali Charan with the help of CCTV footages of the area and other technical aids, finally arrested the thieves, who were identified as Kunal Singh alias Noni, son of Kernail Singh of Mandlik Nagar Paloura and Rohit Sharma, son of Om Parkash of Khajuria Mohalla Paloura Janipur.
During sustained questioning, the accused confessed their involvement in aforesaid FIR Number 20/2020 under Section 379 IPC and on their disclosure stolen vehicles were recovered.
Further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain their involvement in any other case.
