KISHTWAR, Aug 3: Police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen items from their possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a person namely Aashiq Ali, son of Ghulam Nabi Wani and others residents of Binoon Jawalapur stating therein that some unknown burglars barged in their house and 3 shops and decamped with cash and electronic and household items.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 148/2022 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation taken up.
To work out the case, SSP Kishtwar Shafqat Hussain Batt constituted a special team led by PSI Vinay Sharma under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kishtwar Vishal Gupta.
The team put in hectic efforts and finally arrested two thieves, who were identified as Irshad Ahmed, son of Jan Mohd and Irshad Ahmed, son of Mohd Hayat, both residents of Kahara District Doda.
On their disclosure, stolen items including 6 mobile phones, 1 keypad mobile phone, 1 digital camera, 1 laptop bag and other items were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
