RAMBAN, Sept 10: Dharamkund Police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen items from their possession.
As per police sources, on September 6 this year a written application was received at Police Station Dharamkund from a person namely Zahoor Ahmed Masoodi, Senior Administration Manager HCC Sumber stating therein that during the night of September 5 somebody has stolen PVC pipe 110mm (4), PVC Barrels (3), TMT Bar fabricated ring type (200) and blower duct (1) from fabrication yard area at J&K Rail T49A Project, Sumber Site Bridge.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 47/2022 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Dharamkund and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Dharamkund led by PSI Arjun Singh was constituted.
The team after the hectic efforts finally arrested two thieves, who were identified as Javad Ahmad, son of Mohd Safi of Village Dassa, Sumber District Ramban and Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohd.
On their disclosure, stolen items worth Rs 40,000 were recovered. More arrests are expected in the coming days.
The arrest and recovery were made under the supervision of SHO Dharamkund Inspector Hargopal Singh Dhillon, SDPO Gool Nihar Ranjan and SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
