JAMMU, May 14: Gandhi Nagar Police today arrested two thieves and recovered parts of stolen vehicles on their disclosure.
“During investigation of a theft case, Gandhi Nagar Police today arrested two thieves identified as Rohit Mehra son of late Bhushan Mehra of Mubarak Mandi (at present (Rehari) and Sunil Kumar son of Om Parkash, resident of lane number 24, Fowara Chowk (Greater Kailash, Jammu),” a police spokesman said.
He said during questioning, the accused disclosed that they have sold some spare parts to a scrap seller. “Accordingly, a team of Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SDPO South Sachit Sharma recovered 7 engines, 40 shockers and 17 tyres of stolen two-wheelers from a scrap seller in Bari Brahmana area.
In this regard, a case under FIR Number 99/2023 U/S 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and further investigation started.
