Two thieves nabbed; stolen cash, gold chain recovered

JAMMU, Oct 15: Satwari Police today claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting two thieves and recovering stolen cash and a gold chain from their possession.
“A written complaint was lodged at Police Station Satwari by one person namely Sham Lal Gupta son of late Gian Chand of Dashmesh Nagar (Satwari) stating that while he was away visiting some relatives along with his family, some person broke the locks of his house and stole Rs 90,000 from his house,” a police spokesperson said.
He said, accordingly, a case FIR Number 188/22 U/S 380/454 IPC was registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started. During investigation, he said, a team of Police Station Satwari led by SHO Inspector Sameer Jeelani rounded up two accused namely Aakash Khushu son of Ashok Kumar Khushu and Raju Kumar son of Vakeel Chand, both residents of Durganagar (Muthi).
“On disclosure of the accused, stolen cash of Rs 90,000 was recovered from their possession and both the accused got arrested,” the spokesman said, adding, one gold chain which they had snatched from a lady in Muthi area was also recovered from their possession.
Further investigation of the case was going on.
