Srinagar, May 31: Two women attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison, one among them died later, police said today.
A police spokesman said a girl of Kharti Iqbal Pora in Anantnag district consumed poison at her home. She was shifted to Hospital for treatment where she died.
Another woman of Tethmulla, Baramulla also consumed poison at her home. She was shifted to Sub District Hospital Baramulla for treatment.
The spokesman said police has registered cases in these incidents.
Another minor girl lost her life after accidently consuming poison.
The spokesperson said a 4-year-old girl, Asmaat Jan daughter of Bashir Ahmed Mir of Hajam Mohalla Khurhama Kupwara district accidently consumed poison at her home, and died while on way to hospital.
