Two women narco-smugglers arrested

JAMMU, Nov 12: Gangyal police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two women narcotic smugglers along with 11 kilograms of ganja.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Gangyal police station laid a naka at KC Colony near CRPF Camp and intercepted two pedestrian women carrying bags.
During checking, police recovered 11 kilograms of ganja from the bags and arrested both the women.
The accused women have been identified as Kamli alias Cheena, wife of Kamal and Roopa alias Reena, wife of Rajesh, both residents of Bikanair Rajasthan, presently residing in Qasim Nagar Narwal.
During preliminary inquiry, it came to fore that both the women were habitual narcotic smugglers.
A case under FIR Number 128/16 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the women at police station Gangyal and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal Inspector Aejaz Wani made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
