Two youth commit suicide

SAMBA, June 20: The two youth committed suicide by handing themselves from ceiling fan hooks in their respective house in different areas of Samba district today.
According to the police, during the intervening night, one person namely Sunil Kumar, 26, son of Dayal Chand resident of village Katli hanged himself from ceiling fan hook, when family members saw him hanging with ceiling fan, they immediately informed to police. After getting the information police reached on the spot and shifted him to District Hospital Samba for treatment but doctor declared him as brought dead and the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of District Hospital Samba for autopsy.
After completion of the legal formalities the body of the deceased boy was handed over to its legal heirs for his last rites.
Similarly hanging case was reported from village Gudwal area falling under the jurisdiction of Ramgarh Police Station, where one person namely Nanak Singh, 32, son of Kirpal Singh resident of village Gagore committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling fan hook in his house. When family members saw him hanging with fan hook, they immediately shifted him to Community Health Centre Ramgarh for treatment but doctor declared him as brought dead and the body of the deceased was kept in the mortuary room of the hospital.
The police has taken cognizance of both the hanging cases and registered FIRs in relevant sections of the law. The cause of their suicide is not known. However police has started inquest proceedings.
