POONCH, Aug 6: Two youth died in different road accidents in Mandi and Surankote areas of Poonch district.
Official sources said that an Army porter was on its way from Budha Amarnath Mandir towards Tehsil headquarters Mandi, when reached in Aalapir market met with an accident. He was taken to SDH Mandi where doctors declared him brought dead. The body was handed over to family after performing legal formalities.
Another accident took place at Lassana in Surankote when a motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK12B 4478 was on its way from Surankote towards Poonch. A bus bearing Registration Number JK02CB- 4055 was coming from opposite direction. It collided with the bus. Youth was taken to SDH Surankote where he was declared brought dead.
Both deceased were identified as Mohd Iqbal son of Nazir Ahmed resident of Marhote in Surankote and Adnan Manhas son of Saqlain Mehmood, resident of Surankote.
Senior Police officer of PS Mandi and Surankote said that cases have been registered under relevent sections and investigation has been taken up.
