JAMMU, Nov 26: Tawi Welfare Society organised 34th free five days eye cataract surgery camp at its premises at Apnavan Sure Chak Tehsil Mandal today.
Camp was inaugurated by Surinder Bhagat Member Legislative Assembly in his address he lauded the role of volunteers of Tawi Welfare Society for their selfless service towards the weaker section of society. He assured his full support to the TWS volunteers for organising such programs.More than 150 patients were screened out of which 40 patients were selected for surgery.
Geetu Aulakh, DDC Member, Vijay Sharma, BMO Sohanjana, Kirandeep Kour, BDO Block Mandal Phallain, Dr. Kamal Gupta renowned Eye surgeon, team of Doctors from Government Gandhi Nagar Hospital Jammu comprising of Dr. Promila, Dr. Bharti Sangral, Dr. Balaji Puri were present.
Yash Paul Magotra general secretary welcomed the guests and Nand Kishor senior member of Society thanked the guests for sparing their valuable time for the function. Tawi Welfare Society also thanked Col. Piyush Dutt, Comdt. 15 Field Amn. Depot. for providing cots for the Camp.
