Ubuntu Consortium to host International Women’s Day event

BENGALURU, Nov 9 : International Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, celebrated on November 19 each year, will be marked by Ubuntu Consortium’s International Seminar “Borderless Business Opportunities” in Bengaluru.  This event honours outstanding women entrepreneurs with the Star Awards, recognising their impact on commerce and industry, fostering economic empowerment.  Karnataka Minister Sharanabasappa Darshanapur will inaugurate the event as the Chief Guest.  Rajneesh, IAS, and Sarah Gideon, Head of Communication at Flipkart, will also participate as guests of honour, while Carey Arun from the US Consulate, Chennai, will deliver the keynote address. The seminar includes three panel discussions.  “Borderless Business Opportunities,” chaired by Parul Soni, features prominent international entrepreneurs and industry leaders.  The second session, “Fostering Business Collaborations, Trade, and Investments between Countries,” is led by Nitesh K Patil, IAS, and includes global trade experts.  The final panel, “Presidents Panel: Best Practices & Way Forward,” brings together women business leaders across India.  The event will conclude with awards in categories like startup, scale-up, second innings, and a Lifetime Achievement Award for K Rama Devi, founder of India’s first women’s industrial park.  Over 350 delegates are expected, with 60 women entrepreneurs showcasing products from Karnataka.
