UDHAMPUR, Jan 4: Udhampur Development Council (UDC), a social organization, has demanded setting up a Press Club, Radio Station and Cultural Academy in Udhampur to promote the culture, languages and literary activities in the district.
Talking to media persons, here today, UDC president Anil Paba lamented that there was no recognized place for holding discussion on the current social issues and media interactions. “Setting up of a Press Club would encourage the intellectual activities at local level and also spread awareness among the masses besides facilitating media persons for interaction with VIPs on different issues,” he said

“Udhampur is the only district which has been ignored in this respect notwithstanding abundance of artistic talent here,” he added.
