Udhampur Attack Case: Jammu Court extends Naved’s judicial remand

JAMMU: Jammu court today extended the judicial remand of militant Mohammad Naved arrested alive on August 5 in Udhampur attack case.

In the much publicised Udhampur attack case, Special Judge NIA, Y P Kotwal today extended 14 days judicial remand of LeT Pak terrorist Mohammad Naved alias Usman, Khursheed Ahmed Bhat and Showkat Ahmed.

The court found that the investigation of the case is in progress and scattered across various places of Jammu and Kashmir and more persons are involved in conspiracy which needs to be verified and moreover some of the co-accused are still absconding which is causing difficulty in unearthing the larger conspiracy behind the attack on BSF convoy.

With these observations, the court extended the 14 days judicial remand of Mohammad Naved, resident of Faisalabad, Pakistan; Khursheed Ahmed Bhat and Showkat Ahmed Bhat, both residents of Pulwama.

On the directions of the court, they have again been lodged in Kot-Bhalwal jail and asked to get medically examined after every 48 hours. (AGENCIES)
