Udhampur Attack: NIA unhappy with leaking of interrogation reports to media

JAMMU :  The National Investigation Agency team has expressed unhappiness over leakage of interrogation reports to the media, which has created hurdles in reaching to some of the vital and important people linked with the August 5 Udhampur terror attack in which two BSF personnel and a militant were killed while one militant was arrested alive.
“Officials of NIA have expressed unhappiness over the way interrogation details of captured Pakistani militant Mohammad Naved have been leaked to the media,” reliable sources said here today.
They said the publishing of reports in media helped some of the handlers and Over Ground Workers in touch with Naved to plan their escape and cover up operations.
NIA officials were handed over the custody of Naveed after securing 14 day remand from a Special NIA court in Jammu yesterday.
Naved is reportedly sent for narco-test for frequently changing his statements during questioning.
NIA Chief Sharad Kumar alongwith senior officer of IG rank also reached here today to interrogate the arrested militant. (AGENCIES)
