A court has extended the judicial custody of Naved and five of his accomplices for a period of 14 days. Two Pakistani terrorists, including Muhammad Nave, had launched an attack on a BSF convoy in which the forces met with some casualties and at least eight soldiers were injured in the attack. Earlier the mastermind of this attack, Qasim, again a Pakistani terrorist, had been gunned down by the BSF.
It has to be reminded that the Chief of BSF said in his recent press conference that Hafiz Saeed, the chief of Pakistan-based terrorist organization Al-Dawa, of which LeT is the steel arm, was on a tour of terrorist training camps close to the LoC on PoK side. He is reported to be prompting armed jihadis to accelerate infiltration bids into Indian territory for unleashing terror. In view of this information, there are apprehensions that terrorists and separatists in Kashmir will try to hatch a conspiracy in a bid to demand freedom and return of Naved and his five accomplices who have been nabbed by the police on his disclosures. The security should be beefed up to avert any such mishap. Our security forces have engaged the terrorists in the forests of Kupwara and Rajwar area in Handwara tehsil in Kashmir. The operation to nab the terrorists hiding in Kupwara jungle is running its 18th day. This is an indication that terror master Hafiz Saeed of Pakistan has accelerated his strategy and plans of attacks in Kashmir. The army commander said in his recent press conference that since it was only a proxy war and not an open conventional war, his troops with stick to the policy of eye for eye and tooth for tooth… He did not rule out the possibility of Kashmir separatists and militants adventuring to tow the ISIS line. However, he said the army was prepared to meet the challenge.
