Udhampur blast condemned by pol, social organizations

JAMMU, Mar 9: Several political parties, their leaders, besides social organizations today condemned the IED blast that occurred this afternoon near District Court Complex in Udhampur that left one person killed and 15 others injured.
Condemning the blast, Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said no words are strong enough to condemn the heinous attack on innocent civilians. “My heartfelt condolences are with the family members of the deceased person and sympathies with all those who are injured in this blast. I stand shoulder to shoulder with the affected families. I hope the administration will take immediate action against the perpetrators of the crime,” he said.
National Panthers Party chairman and former Minister Harsh Dev Singh also condemned the blast. He said that the blast which occurred just 50 meters away from his residence appeared to be a deep rooted conspiracy by vested interests and sought a high level probe into the same. Seeking a judicial probe into the blast incident near his residence, Singh said that a political sabotage could not be ruled out.
Condemning the blast, Nationalist Congress party (NCP) National joint secretary and veteran social activist Rishi Kilam said Government should firmly resolve to avenge this barbaric action by the enemies of peace and the perpetrators of the crime should be brought to justice. “My heartfelt condolences are with the kin of the deceased person and sympathies with those who injured in the blast.
Mission Statehood president Sunil Dimple led a protest rally against the IED blast in Udhampur. While speaking on the occasion, he demanded NIA investigation into the blast incident. Dimple asked Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi when the peace and normalcy will restore in Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) leadership, while condemning the blast, said the UT administration should come down heavily on the perpetrators of such crimes whose aim is to destroy the peace in J&K and keep the pot of violence boiling. “Our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased person and prayers with all the injured in this blast,” JMF leadership said.
BJP UT President Ravinder Raina also condemned the killing of Sarpanch. “Strongly condemn the Pakistani Sponsored Terrorism that once again bleed the Kashmir and killed PDP worker & Sarpanch Sameer Ahmed Bhat at Khanmoh area of Srinagar. Murderer will definitely be punished. My heartfelt condolences with the family & his party”, tweets Ravinder Raina.
