JAMMU, Sept 4: Senior Congress leader Sumeet Magotra has alleged that Udhampur area has been facing severe power curtailment and worst ever water crisis.
Talking to media persons at Udhampur today Magotra alleged that people of the area are facing heavy curtailment of electricity and irregular supply of drinking water. He disclosed that undeclared power cuts have become order of the day. The concerned officers of PDD are when contacted have only one reply that they are acting as per the curtailment chart of from SLDC Jammu whereas, Jal Shakti department (PHE) blames unscheduled curtailment of electricity of for the irregular supply of drinking water to the public.
Magotra warned the authorities of Electricity department Jal Shakti department if they fail to supply uninterrupted electricity and regular supply of drinking water then Congress will initiate public demonstration against them by burning their effigies. He sought intervention of higher authorities into the matter.
