Udhampur, Apr 2: As part of public outreach programme, a public meeting was organised at Police Station Udhampur by the District Police.
The meeting was chaired by DySP Headquarters Udhampur Gurmeet Singh along with Insp. Raghubir Choudhary SHO PS Udhampur and other Police officers were also present on the occasion. DDC members, Sarpanches, Panches, Civil Society members and respectable persons of the area attended the meeting.
During the programme, participants highlighted various issues of public importance, like bovine smuggling, drugs, traffic problems etc and they were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and that of civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
While speaking on the occasion, Gurmeet Singh requested the participants to cooperate with police and administration in maintaining law and order in their area and in identifying anti-national & anti-social elements. Participants were also advised to install CCTV cameras in their commercial establishments/ shops which will help in curbing anti-social and criminal acts.
Another program in Police Post Tikri was chaired by Gurmeet Singh along with SHO PS Rehmbal Insp. Rajesh Sharma, PSI Satar choudhary ICPP Tikri. Besides, other Officers/officials of P/P were present during the meet.
