UDP President shot at, injured

JAMMU, Dec 4: President of United Democratic Party (UDP) was shot at by some unknown person in Preet Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, UDP President namely Kuldeep Singh had gone to his plot at Preet Nagar, when an unidentified youth shot at him.
Kuldeep received injuries in his right hip and was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), from where he was later taken to a hospital in Amritsar for advanced treatment.
A case in this regard has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and hunt has been launched to nab the youth, who escape from the spot on the motorcycle.
