Indeed, India is the largest democracy of the world. The right to speech given to every citizen, is no doubt a great power conferred to the people. Hundreds of political parties make others feel their existence simply by criticising one an other. With the change of a party, the language of the leaders concerned also gets changed.
But abuses, baseless allegations and totally unpleasant words used against each other, caring least about one’s status and position, certainly irks and irritates every good citizen of the country. The words are spoken in rallies to attract clapping and laughing. If within the country itself people behave in such a manner, what our coming generations will learn. The post of a PM is unique in any Govt, let it be of any political party, because he steers the ship of the State and moreover he represents the voters who made him PM. Calling him ‘Chor’ or by other nicknames means showing disrespect towards the voters who made him PM. It is misuse of the fundamental right to speech enshrined in the constitution. What is morally unsound can’t be politically all right.
