MOSCOW, Dec 21: Russia’s Tsentr (Center) group of forces has repelled 12 Ukrainian counterattacks and eliminated up to 580 Ukrainian soldiers over the past day, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Saturday.
“We have repelled 12 counterattacks of the Ukrainian armed groups. The enemy has lost up to 580 soldiers, a German-made Leopard tank, an infantry combat vehicle, US-made M113 and M117 armored carriers, four cars, a Polish-made 155-mm Krab howitzer, two 152-mm Msta-B howitzers, two 152-mm D-20 gun-howitzers, two 122-mm D-30 howitzers and three armored vehicles, including US-made MaxxPro,” the ministry said.
Another 440 Ukrainian fighters were eliminated by Russia’s Zapad (West) battle group, 160 fighters were eliminated by the Vostok (East) battle group, 70 fighters by the Dnepr battle group and 40 fighters by the Sever (North) battle group, in addition to the 285 Ukrainian fighters eliminated by Russia’s Yug (South) battle group, the ministry said.
