UDHAMPUR, Feb 5: Apni Party Provincial President Jammu and former Minister Manjit Singh expressed his serious concern over an uncertain scenario about restoration of democratic system in J&K with growing number of issues in society and little hope for employment and development.
Speaking at a joining cum felicitation programme, organized by District Committee Udhampur following a meeting with the leaders and workers, Manjit Singh said: “The Govt has not been able to analyze the emerging problems in J&K which has put the people in difficult situation with more disappointment and less hope for the resolution of their grievances.”
District President Udhampur Hans Raj Dogra had organized the programme in which Apni Party leaders Bupinder, SC State Coordinator Bodh Raj Bhagat, State President, Apni Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi, Arun Chibber, Provincial President Legal Wing, Vikram Rathore, Provincial President Youth Wing, Vipul Bali and others participated.
Stressing that there is a dire need to restore the democratic institutions, Manjit Singh said that as long as these institutions are not restored and Assembly elections are not held in J&K, the anger among the people will continue to grow against the Govt. To avoid the annoying situation which may cause problems for everyone, the Govt must review the situation which has taken place due to adamant bureaucracy, he added.
Manjit Singh said that the officials are responsible for failing the good works of the Govt as they have no connection with the people and people in general too have lost their faith in the LG administration.
“In this situation of mistrust, the Govt must hold Assembly polls so that an elected Govt can take over the affairs of J&K and accordingly redress the issues of the public. The supremacy of the bureaucracy has limited themselves within the four walls of their offices with no consultation with the public representatives or with the civil society before taking any important decision which have serious implications on J&K and future of the youth,” he said.
Ex-MLA and Provincial Vice President Faqir Nath highlighted issues of Udhampur’s development, employment, and health care facilities.
