JAMMU, Dec 17: Former minister and senior NC leader, Ajay Sadhotra has alleged that Other Backward Classes (OBC) are feeling duped by BJP Govt under the garb of Article 370 and Article 35-A.
In a press statement here today, Sadhotra said that feeling of neglect has housed the hearts and minds of OBC, which is a depressed and sizeable section of the society. He said after the scrapping of special status of Jammu and Kashmir and downgrading the status of the State to Union Territory, BJP Government as usual have shown beautiful dreams and made tall promises with the people of Jammu and Kashmir now after about five months it seems BJP Govt believe in ” day dreaming” and ” lip service” only.
“It has caused great resentment and mistrust among different sections of the society in Jammu and Kashmir. This trust deficit can lead to alienation which is not in the interest of the country,” senior National Conference leader said.
” OBCs were shown beautiful dreams of reservation and all other benefits to this depressed section of the society as OBC are getting in other parts of the country. But it is sad and unfortunate that OBCs have been totally neglected and they are feeling duped by the BJP Government at the Centre and in Jammu and Kashmir Administration,” he added.
Sadhotra has demanded that OBCs be given reservation and all other benefits as are being given to them in other parts of the country.
