SRINAGAR, Aug 12: Unemployed dental surgeons today took out a protest march from Jahangir Chowk to Civil Secretariat to express their resentment over negligent attitude adopted by the Government towards their demands.
A large number of unemployed dental surgeons under the banner of Dental Surgeons Association-Jammu Kashmir (DSA-JK) took part into the protest march and later shouted slogans in front of the gate of Civil Secretariat. However, the security forces managed to restrict them from moving forward.
Speaking on the occasion, vice-president, Asif Ali Khan, criticized the Government for not addressing their long pending demands, which include complete absorption of unemployed dental youth, recruitment of dental surgeons on year basis and establishment of Directorate for dental health in the State.
He said in last 43 days, no positive response came from ruling coalition Government as our all hopes are being dashed to ground continuously by inefficient Government. He further said that their protest will continue in Kashmir as well as in Jammu, till their demands are met.
