Unemployed youth from Rajouri meet President

JAMMU, Sept 14: Twenty-four unemployed youth, hailing from remote villages of the Rajouri district along the LoC, visited Rashtrapati Bhavan and interacted with President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.
The youth are on 10-day tour organized by Rashtriya Rifles Battalions under Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo). The tour scheduled from September 12 to September 20, 2013, will provide the participants an exposure to the modern industrial infrastructure thriving in Northern India.
While speaking to the tour members, the President said that youth have a vital role to play in building a resurgent new India and that the youth of J&K have to be the driving force which ushers in peace and development in J&K.
The tour members shall be visiting numerous Small Scale Industries at Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Jaipur during their 10-day tour.
The tour participants, have already been put through an Orientation-cum-Training programme conducted at Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Jammu from August 26 September 6, to help them gain maximum benefit from the visit.
Apart from visiting industrial houses, the tour members will also be provided professional career counselling during the visit.
The visiting young men will also be taken to various places of historical interest in Delhi and Jaipur so as to give them a glimpse into the diverse culture of our nation. While at Jaipur, the youth will be meeting Margaret Alva, Governor of Rajasthan.
