Sir,
When entire country is reeling under unemployment phenomenon, J&K is no exception to this malady. The absence of strong employment policy and lack of industrialisation has rendered thousands and thousands educated youth unemployed in the State. Frankly speaking, enhancement of retirement age to be, has further rubbed salt to the fresh wounds of these unemployeds. Fat degrees as they possess are proving utterly unfruitful in the existing scenario of employment. Regardless to say that even vacant posts aren’t timely filled, causing unfathomable losses to the Deptt concerned, particularly, in Education and Medical, and keeps away our youth from employment chances. It is a tragedy of the system that those in Power generally remain engaged in party politics and vote catching devices, and the public problems are least bothered about. Unemployment retards economic well being and keeps away the masses from happy and prosperous living conditions. A comprehensive and dedicated employment policy is the need of time as brigades of unemployeds are posing a threat to our harmonious social life. The Govts, therefore, should formulate a plan to generate employment avenues to over ride the present alarming situation.
Yours etc…
