UNGA elects ex-Cameroon PM Philemon Yang as new president

UNITED NATIONS, June 7: The United Nations General Assembly elected the former Prime Minister of Cameroon, Philemon Yang, as its new President, a Sputnik correspondent reported.
Yang will become the next President for its seventy-ninth session, which kicks off in September.
The theme and his main message for the upcoming General Assembly will be “unity in diversity, for the advancement of peace, sustainable development, and human dignity for everyone everywhere.”
