Unhygienic eating points in Palm Island sealed

JAMMU, Dec 17: Food and Drugs Administration, Jammu conducted inspections of food establishments existing in the Palm Island Mall to check the quality of eatables & hygienic conditions.
It was found during inspection that M/s Idli & Snaks, M/s Pind Balochi, M/s R. K. Foods, M/s 39 Bakers and M/s Grill were running their food business without proper license from the Licensing Authority and were sealed on spot besides being challaned for carrying out business under unhygienic and insanitary conditions.
M/s G. T. Road Restaurant was also found to be operating under unhygienic conditions and was challaned in competent court. During inspection, samples of chicken and curd were lifted for testing and have been sent to laboratory for testing.
In another similar surprise inspection, on the basis of complaint, a challan for food business running in unhygienic and insanitary condition was recommended against M/s Niecy -24 Bar & Restaurant, Patoli Brahmana Akhnoor Road and three samples of starch powder, soya sauce and mixed masala were lifted for analytical purpose.
