JAMMU, Apr 1: The body of an unidentified man of age about 35-40 years was recovered today from Niki Tawi in Phlian Mandal area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, some locals this evening went to the bed of Niki Tawi near village Ganeshuchak with their buffaloes to make them (buffaloes) drink water and noticed a dead body floating in the river.
They informed the police which reached the spot and fished out the body from the river and shifted it to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem. The police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC in the case.
