JAMMU, Jan 29: An unidentified male body was recovered today from a canal in Kotli Mian Fateh area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the dead body of an unidentified male aged about 50-55 years was spotted by some locals in a canal at Kotli Mian Fateh falling under the limits of police station Miran Sahib.
On getting information from locals, a police team reached the spot, evicted the body from canal and shifted it to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem.
A case in this connection has been registered at police station Miran Sahib and further investigations are on.
