SAMBA, Oct 28: An unidentified man died in a road accident here, officials said.
They said the deceased individual, approximately 32-year-old, was struck by a Hydra Vehicle with unknown registration number on October 27 when he was travelling from Sidco Chowk towards the Pepsi factory.
After the accident, the locals rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment; however, he succumbed to his injuries during the course of medical care, officials said.
Following his death, the body was transferred to the mortuary of the GMC Jammu for identification and post-mortem examination.
In this connection, a case FIR number 146/2024 under section 281 and 125A of the BNS has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahamana and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, police have appealed the general public to identify the deceased individual by contacting PCR Jammu in case of having any information about the deceased.
