JAMMU, Nov 27: An old man was killed after hit by an unknown vehicle at Jammu-Pathankot National Highway at Jatwal today falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station, Ghagwal in district Samba.
Police said the vehicle fled after the accident leaving the body in a pool of blood. The locals informed the Ghagwal police about the accident which after reaching the spot shifted the dead body to mortuary of District Hospital Samba for identification. Police said the dead person appears to be of over 60 years of age. The Ghagwal Police has taken the cognizance of the matter and registered a case under relevant sections of the law in this regard.
