JAMMU, Mar 19: Union Bank of India, 5th largest bank in PSU category with more than 4292 domestic branches 4 international branches 12028 ATM (including 5407 Micro ATM) has opened one more branch with an ATM at Hotel Imperial near Railway Station, Katra today.
This will be 12th full fledged branch of the bank in Jammu Region and shows the high commitment and focus of the bank in further opening of the branches in and around Jammu during Field General Manager, Delhi Zone Sanjay Sharma’s tenure.
Sanjay Sharma has more than 35 years of rich experience in the banking industry and is presently supervising six states of North India including Delhi and NCR and Eight Regional office Viz Delhi North, Delhi South, Chandigarh, Karnal, Jaipur, Udaipur, Ludhiana and Jalandhar comprising of around 565 branches.
Sanjay Sharma has worked in various capacities in the bank and prior to Joining Delhi Zone has been posted as Field General Manager Mumbai Zone, Chennai Zone. Sanjay Sharma has attended various training and programmes in India and abroad and is known for his keen interest in upliftment of Agriculture and MSME Sector.
The Katra branch was inaugurated by Sanjay Sharma Field General Manager, Delhi Zone alongwith Saroj Dash, Regional Head, Jalandhar Region in the presence of dignitaries today.
Vivek Shekhar Sharma Sub Divisional Police Officer and other respectable customers and dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
During the two days visit, Sanjay Sharma will take review of all the branches of Jammu Region and interact with the customers of the bank at Jammu and Katra. The bank has been recently awarded with the “Best SME Offering” award from Assocham SME and Vigilance Excellence Award by Government of India.
