JAMMU, Apr 13: All J&K Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union in a meeting here today held under the chairmanship of Girdhari Lal its general secretary have expressed shock over the death of Balbir Kumar son of Jagdish of Hakal, Satwari, Jammu who was electrocuted while working on high transmission conductor at Ware House.
Addressing the meeting Girdhari Lal said that the officers were responsible for the death of lineman who was engaged on need basis.
He said the need basis workers are not allowed to work on HT. He demanded that FIR be lodged in this case and action taken against the engineer who engaged him to work on HT conductor.
The meeting also demanded immediate relief and compensation to the bereaved family and also demanded suspension of engineer responsible for his death.
