Union Secretary reviews haryali, watershed projects

SRINAGAR, Aug 26 : Union Secretary, Department of Land Resources (Ministry of Rural Development), Anita Choudhary today visited various ongoing watershed management programmes in Anantnag district. During her visit, she expressed satisfaction over the pace of completion of these projects.
Ms. Choudhary also took an on-the-spot review of various haryali projects in the district.
The Union Secretary is on a tour of the state to assess the status of various centrally sponsored schemes particularly in watershed management and haryali projects.
She assured the officers of maximum support from the centre, adding that adequate funds flow will be ensured for the completion of these projects.
The Union Secretary was accompanied by CEO, J&K, Haryali Project, G. H. Shah and other officers of watershed management and Rural Development.
Earlier, the Union Secretary called on the Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal and discussed the execution of these schemes in the state.
