JAMMU, Aug 17: National general secretary student wing of NCP, Murli Manohar Pandey has claimed that with the unrest in Kashmir and present scenario, the miseries of the youth have increased.
Addressing a joint press conference Pandey and Rishi Kaul Kilm, State president said that during last 2-3 years, the students and youth of the State have suffered a lot. Many students were forced to move out to different States for studies. The State Government has failed to provide congenial atmosphere to the students in their own State.
They said with the ongoing unrest and uncertainty, the career of the youth has been jeopardized. Both the Governments have miserably failed in restoring the confidence among the youth. They also highlighted the issues and the political scenario of the State.
Pandey further said that NCP is much concerned about the unrest and uncertainty which prevails in J&K State for the last many years making lives of people of the State uncomfortable, uneasy and uncertain. He said the State is passing through a worst phase especially for the last few years.
He said that during his interaction with the students and people he was shocked to know the exact plight of the suffering people and reached the conclusion that people at large are annoyed, and not satisfied with the present dispensation because of their wrong policies, nepotism, corruption and utmost harassment to the students. The students narrated different tales, problems and issues. It seemed that the political scenario of the State is alarming and not conducive. People and students expressed anguish, resentment against the present BJP-PDP alliance.
Pandey added that present BJP-PDP Government has spoiled the future of students by adopting callous and discriminatory attitude with Jammu region with regard to service selection exams, employment matters, and Public Service exams and in the field of development. He said that the deserving and aggrieved students are not against any region or people but they want equal development and equal share to all the three regions of the State.
The national general secretary appealed the Central Government to solve the problems and issues of KP Migrants with immediate effect as their economic condition is worst.
