More than two years have passed since Kashmiri Migrant aspirants had applied for the posts of Junior Assistants to various departments under the Prime Minister’s Special Employment package for the Kashmiri Migrants. Accordingly J&K Service Selection Board had advertised some 300-400 posts of Junior Assistants vide their Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2017 as directed by the Disaster Management Reconstruction & Relief and Rehabilitation Department of J&K UT. But it is very disturbing and agonizing that till date selection lists for the above posts of Junior Assistants have not been released by the J&K SSB inspite of repeated pleas and requests. In this direction, the Lt. Governor also gave strict directions to the concerned authorities to complete all the pending selections under this package for Kashmiri Migrants by or before 31st January, 2020 but surprisingly his directions have also been put into the dustbin by the concerned authorities and J&K SSB for the best reasons known to them. Junior Assistant Migrants aspirants went from pillar to the post for fast tracking their recruitment processes but very unfortunately J&K SSB is not paying any heed towards their grievances and concerns. It is high time now that the new chairman of the J&K SSB should understand the issues of Junior Assistant Migrant aspirants and direct the concerned officials to release the selection lists as early as possible so as to save these migrant aspirants from further dejection and depression.
