Sir,
It is well said, “Tree must love the ground on Which It Stands.” India is our country. We also lovingly call her Bharat Mata. The motherland is the very basis of our existence on the Earth Planet. We derive sustenance from her soil. We are secular by nature and diversity is our strength. The whole gamut of Indian population is mutually tolerant and patriotic. Ours is the largest and matured Parliamentary democracy. Our patriotism is time tested. The entire International community respects our principles and ideals. Our common masses have exhibited restraint in the worst of crisis. Mind it all Indians, our glory lies in brotherhood and unity and not in misunderstanding and fighting like aliens. The world is watching us with watchful eyes. We cannot afford to bring any disgrace to our motherland on trivial issues. This adversely affects our national prestige in the comity of nations. Citizen Amendment Act has been passed by the Parliament with a majority vote after a prolonged debate. It empowers the Govt. to grant citizenship to the persecuted minorities having roots in India and coming from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. In no way it affects the non Hindus already living in India. There have been repeated assurances from the Prime minister and Home minister that CAA will not be detrimental to the interests of Indian Muslims in any case. If at all there are issues the same can be deliberated and resolved. But still the concerned people are not coming round. They are playing in the hands of anti national elements and inimical forces hell bent to dislodge the nationalist Govt. and destabilize the rising Nation. How the patriotic citizens can stoop too low to assault their own motherland. No doubt in democratic set up we are entitled to hold peaceful protests to seek justice but certainly there is no room for taking recourse to damage and annihilate the national property which belongs to the whole nation and has been in place by virtue of hard earned money of the genuine tax payers. Such kind of savagery and barbaric acts are grossly unwarranted. The mentors of the protesters must hold their nerves and make all out efforts to douse the burning anger of their cronies ,failing which the dispensation will be constrained to think and act otherwise. Hope the good sense prevails.
