SRINAGAR, Feb 10: People’s Welfare Society (PWS) Ganderbal has demanded up-gradation of Primary School Ahal in Wakoora block of Ganderbal district.
In a meeting at Ganderbal today chaired by Mir Ghulam Rasool its patron and district coordinator People’s Conference (PC) said that the School was established in 1970 and since then it was not upgraded to Middle School level despite umpteen promises were made by the Government in this regard.
Besides, up-gradation of school meeting demanded construction of compound wall round it.
It also expressed grave concern over failure of Government in establishing the gas agencies in Ganderbal saying that in entire district there was only one gas agency putting the people to grave trouble.
The meeting also demanded the problems faced by the people due to lack of bus services in Ganderbal villages be solved immediately and buses of the owners of Ganderbal district plying on Baramulla routes be permitted to ply on Ganderbal routes.
