JAMMU, May 14: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today said that his party accepts with humility the verdict of people in Karnataka polls.
In a statement issued here, today, Kavinder said that BJP is down but not out as it accepts the judgment of people of Karnataka with deep sense of humility.
The BJP leader in a strong rejoinder to NC Chief, Farooq Abdullah and PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti, who gave statements against his party after it lost polls in South Indian State, said that poll result in one State in no way reflects the mood of the country and soon the BJP will make a comeback. He said that BJP always respects the mandate of people and for sure the anti incumbency has played a spoilsport for the party in Karnataka.
The senior BJP leader said that irrespective of poll outcome the Saffron party shall continue to serve people from North to South and East to West, as BJP is merely not only a political party but a movement for which the nation is the top priority and rest of the things come later.
In response to Omar’s remark on delay in Assembly polls in J&K, Kavinder made it clear that BJP is ready for polls and as per Home Minister, Amit Shah decks have been cleared for early polls in J&K and the UT is witnessing poll preparations. He said that soon ECI team will visit J&K and it is up to ECI to announce election schedule in J&K.
Kavinder said that overconfidence of parties like NC and PDP will make a nose dive after the poll outcome in J&K as people are with BJP and its agenda of development and peace, and not with the divisive parties which wanted to en cash sufferings of the people by continuing to keep the pot of unrest boiling in J&K.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that people in J&K are showing full confidence in the plans and policies of BJP and the colossal development which it has ensured in the last eight-nine years and therefore polls in J&K will in actual show the mirror to those dynastic parties, which have usurped the resources of the region in the last over 70 years to satiate their vested interests.
