JAMMU, Sept 2: Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) members here today organized a peaceful protest rally from TNWS office to UHTC demanding its up-gradation as CHC Trikuta Nagar.
The protest rally was organized under the leadership of Rajinder Parshad Kakkar, TNWS president and the protesters were demanding up-gradation and renovation of UHTC to Community Health Centre (CHC) with facilities for the general public, senior citizens and residents of Trikuta Nagar.
They were also demanding that a hoarding of CHC should be put at the entrance of the complex for the awareness of general public and five specialist doctors including Physician, Gynaecologist, ENT, Child Specialist and Eye Specialist with all machinery and staff to assist the doctors should be provided there.
The demand of diagnostic facilities like X-rays, ECG, blood tests and anti-rabies vaccination along with Jan Aushadhi Shop was also raised.
The protesters requested the LG to transfer UHTC which was upgraded at UHC to Director Health Services Jammu with time bound directions and funds to fulfill the long pending demand of CHC.
Prominent among those present in the protest rally were T.P Singh, Ashok Kumar Arora, Dr. Arun Gandotra, Vijay Gupta, Anil Sharma, R.K Tikoo, R.K Kakroo, Som Nath Kaul, Varinder Kumar Suri and Sandeep Sharma besides a large number of Trikuta Nagar residents.
