JAMMU, Mar 20: Principal, Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, Dr Sunanda Raina today dedicated newly created/upgraded ICU in the institution to general public.
The newly created/upgraded ICU has 16 beds with ventilators and other state of art equipments. “The facility will be dedicated to the general public with effect from March 21,” said an order issued by Principal and Dean, GMC Jammu.
The order stated that while 8 beds will be for Department of General Medicine, 5 will be for General Surgery and 3 for Orthopaedics Department.
“The HoD Anaesthesia shall provide assistance in the form of manpower and training for smooth functioning of the ICU in collaboration with HoDs of Surgery, Medicine and Orthopaedics,” the order read. It further said that Medical Superintendent, GMC Jammu shall depute the trained nursing and paramedical staff in consultation with concerned HoDs.
